Genesis is preparing a second electric design for its extravagant automobile line, but then in the style of a crossover called the GV60. The GV60 includes styling components with other Genesis cars. However, it doesn’t have the brand’s signature huge trapezoidal grille that runs between the dual-element headlamps, instead of a smaller lower grille that runs over the front bumper. The GV60’s interior has a luxurious feel, with a big monolithic display panel that serves as both a gauge cluster and an infotainment system.
The Genesis GV60 makes a powerful first impression, and it isn’t easy to see this vehicle being anything less than fantastic. We already know how good its sibling models are, and Genesis’ debut of a fully electric vehicle should help to enhance brand awareness in the new regions it’s entering.
What’s New For The Year 2023?
When it arrives on the marketplace, the GV60 will be a new design for Genesis and the label’s third SUV. According to Genesis, distributions in the United States will begin in 2022; thus, those vehicles will likely be labeled as 2023 models.
EV Motor, Performance, and Power
Three distinct powertrains will be available, beginning with a rear-wheel-drive system with one two hundred and twenty-five -horsepower EV and progressing to an all-wheel-drive system with dual three hundred and fourteen-horsepower EV. A performance model with two machines, a basic all-wheel drive, and an integrated hp rating of four hundred and twenty-nine will also be available. The highest model, according to Genesis, will be able to reach sixty mph in under 4.0 seconds.
Battery Life, Range, and Charging
Although the EPA has yet to comment, Genesis claims that the standard rear-wheel drive GV60 will provide the maximum driving range for every charge, approximately two hundred and eighty miles per charge. If you choose all-wheel drive, the range lowers to two hundred and forty-nine miles per charge, and if you choose the performance variant, the range is said to be two hundred and twenty-nine miles. The 77.4-kWh battery pack is standard on all models.
Cargo, Interior, and Comfort
The GV60 is the lightest SUV in the Genesis grouping, and it lacks the interior space of the bigger GV70 and GV80 versions. It does, however, have a distinctive internal layout that is more high-tech in appearance. Genesis has taken some risks here, incorporating intriguing patterns and details, such as a gear selector that flicks upside down and like a crystal ball when in the park. The GV60 also features some cutting-edge technology, like a facial recognition system that enables the driver to unlock and start the car without using a key. Fingerprint readers and other biometric technology are also included in the SUV’s design.
Thus far, the response to the Genesis GV60 has been mixed, with the unusual exterior styling failing to pique the interest of some of the more crucial sections of the motoring press. The Genesis GV60, on the other hand, will undoubtedly include all of the luxury features that you’d anticipate from a luxury automaker. It might also be the model that helps the label gain traction in Europe.
