The Altima has a standard 188-hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder machine that dyads with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). Interior, Comfort & Cargo
Outside, the Altima’s cabin provides a direct dashboard with user-friendly switchgear. Interior accouterments vary among trim degrees, but everything is a significant enhancement compared with the former-generation Altima. The flat-bottomed steering wheel and dummy carbon fiber were a bit much then, especially since there are no paddle shifters or selectable drive modes on the SV. While the sound system has useful clods for volume and tuning, the touchscreen we tested responded sluggishly to inputs. Altima SL and SR get a 12.3-inch touchscreen with navigation, wireless phone charging, and WiFi hotspot standard. The bigger screen is voluntary on SV models.
